Accomodation

The conference will take place from 8.30 am on Saturday, September 1,  to approximately 17.00 on Sunday, September 2. A detailed conference programme will be posted shortly.

It is possible to make a reservation in all hotels in Groningen. However, a block of rooms within three hotels has been arranging to allow conference participants to meet with one another. We recommend that you make your reservation as soon as possible.

Accommodation will be arranged directly between yourself and the hotel and will be available on a first come first serve basis. There is a time limit for reserving the rooms that have been set aside for you to select from. Please check the website of each hotel for more information.

Recommended steps:

1. Read the information about each hotel and visit their website
2. Choose your preferred hotel
3. Make a reservation yourself by contacting the hotel (by email, fax, etc.). Please do not forget mention “TransEurope Conference” as a reference when making your reservation.

All of the hotels are located in the center of Groningen, close to public transportation and to the conference site. Some hotels offer the use of a bicycle for transportation. The locations of all hotels and the conference sites can be found here.

Martini Hotel

• The Martini Hotel is a modern and comfortable hotel located in the center of Groningen. It is located about 20 minutes (walking distance) from the conference site.
• 25 rooms have been set aside for reservations in this hotel
• Rooms are available from 88 EUR for a single room and from 96,50 EUR for a double room
• The prices include breakfast and city tax
• The deadline for making a reservation at the Martini Hotel is June 30, 2007.

• The University Guest House is a comfortable hotel located in the center of Groningen. It is located about 10 minutes (walking distance) from the conference site.
• 12 rooms have been set aside for reservations in this hotel
• The prices include breakfast and city tax
• Rooms are available from 75,50 EUR (two-person), 85,50 EUR (apartments), 57.50 EUR (one person room with shower and toilet in room), 55.50 EUR (one person room with shared shower and toilet in hallway)
